JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for all aspects of safety per customer's and Alstom site policies.
- Supervise craft personnel in the service and maintenance activities associated with the locomotive maintenance program requirements of the site to meet production requirements.
- Responsible to manage repair parts as related to their proper application, issuance, and core returns.
- Responsible to assure all assigned personnel are appropriately assigned to daily production requirements.
- Responsible for monitoring all quality activities using tools such as standard operating practices (SOPs) and audits.
- Identify and drive any product line improvements that increase production flow.
- Responsible for all controlled documentation and proper revision levels are used on the production floor.
- Assist in the establishing and achievement of contract estimates and controls for labor and tooling.
- Support Production/Project meetings for resolution of issues impacting product lines performance.
- Support daily computer based maintenance (CBM) testing activities and oversee any extraordinary testing requirements.
